Mill Street Pub & Kitchen in Oakham
Mill Street in Oakham is one of my favourite strolls. It is lined with some of the most interesting independent retailers in Rutland, but there was one threshold that I had never crossed: the imposing building that houses Mill Street Pub & Kitchen. Market Day in Oakham, Uppingham & Stamford
My favourite day of the week in Uppingham (my nearest town) is Friday, because that is market day. There is nothing quite like a small market town on this day, when the whole local community pours in for its weekly helping of fresh food shopping, browsing stalls and – very important this – a good old gossip!
