    Was this Rutland’s first antiques brocante?  It was certainly Uppingham’s, and congratulations to Uppingham Town Partnership for organising it.     The team is back on site today after the wet Easter break.  Major discussions about how I want the terrace of this Rutland cottage laid out, in terms of the pattern of stone slabs, quarry tiles and gravel.  I want to recycle as many of the slabs and tiles as possible.  All these were dug out from beneath the cottage during the renovations.
